HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem 06.c Date: Item No. LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE CONTRACTS WITH VONBANK LAWN CARE, INC. AND JEFF REISINGER LAWN SERVICE, INC. Proposed Action Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to approve a two-year Enhanced Landscape Maintenance Contract with VonBank Lawn Care, Inc. and a two-year Standard Landscape Maintenance Contract with Jeff Reisinger Lawn Service, Inc. Overview In February, City staff received proposals for enhanced and standard landscape maintenance; VonBank Lawn Care, Inc. and Jeff Reisinger Lawn Service, Inc. provided the lowest proposals. Enhanced maintenance is performed on high profile sites such as City Hall, Police and Fire Stations. Standard maintenance is performed at small scattered parks, well houses, lift stations, and parkway boulevards. Staff recommends approving a contract with VonBank Lawn Care, Inc. for Enhanced Landscape Maintenance services for a term of January 1, 2019 – December 31, 2020 at a cost of $52,550.00 for 2019 and a maximum of $54,126.50 for 2020. Staff also recommends approving a contract with Jeff Reisinger Lawn Service, Inc. for Standard Landscape Maintenance services for a term of January 1, 2019 – December 31, 2020 at a cost of $82,569.00 for 2019 and a maximum of $85,046.07 for 2020. Effective January 1, 2020 the payments to both vendors under the Contract will be adjusted to reflect the increase in the Consumers Price Index for 2019. The increase will not exceed 3% and the original value will not decrease. Primary Issues to Consider • VonBank Lawn Care, Inc. and Jeff Reisinger Lawn Service, Inc. are reputable companies that have provided quality landscape maintenance services to the City of Lakeville.
