TEMPORARY ON-SALE LIQUOR LICENSE
VFW POST 210
ST. PATRICK’S DAY EVENT
Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to approve a temporary on-sale
liquor license to VFW Post 210 for an outdoor event in downtown Lakeville on March 16, 2019
from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Overview
VFW Post 210 has requested a temporary on-sale liquor license for an outdoor event featuring
live music, food and drinks in the parking lot between Lakeville Brewing Company and Angry
Inch Brewing on Saturday, March 16, 2019. Alcoholic beverages would be served from 12:00
until 6:00 p.m. Live entertainment will take place from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m.
The parking lot, which is owned by Metro Equity Management, will be fenced. Only those
who are 21 years of age or older will be permitted. No alcohol will be permitted to leave or
enter the event area.
The Police Department reviewed the request and has no objection to the temporary liquor
license, provided VFW Post 210 abides by the event plan and the attached additional
stipulations not covered in the event plan.
Primary Issues to Consider
Event organizers will have eight security personnel on site in addition to law enforcement as
directed by the Police Department.
