APPROVE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND SET A BID DATE
2019 MISCELLANEOUS ROADWAY REPAIRS AND OVERLAYS
Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to approve a resolution approving
plans and specifications and setting a bid date for 2019 Miscellaneous Roadway Repairs and
Overlays, City Project 19-01.
Overview
City Project 19-01 consists of Citywide roadway, sidewalk/trail and storm sewer repairs designed
to maintain the overall condition and maximize the service life of public assets at the best overall
cost. Proposed improvements include roadway patching/overlay, curb and gutter and
sidewalk/trail replacement, and minor drain tile and storm sewer maintenance. The following
Parks projects are also included:
• Flagstaff Avenue (trail reclamation - Firelight Way to Dodd Boulevard)
• North Creek Trail (trail reclamation – Flagstaff Avenue to Quail Meadows Park)
• Juno Trail and 162nd St Pedestrian Crossing Improvements (Rapid Flashing Beacons)
• Legacy Park (trail paving)
Construction is anticipated to begin in Spring 2019 with completion by Fall 2019. Project plans
and specifications were prepared by City staff and are available for review in the Engineering
Division. The estimated construction cost is $975,000.
Primary Issues to Consider
• The City will publish notice and advertise for bids as required. Bid opening is April 2, 2019.

RESOLUTION NO. 19-
RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND SETTING A BID DATE FOR
2019 MISCELLANEOUS ROADWAY REPAIRS AND OVERLAYS
WHEREAS, the City of Lakeville Public Works Department prepared plans and specifications for
the 2019 Miscellaneous Roadway Repairs and Overlays project (City Project 19-01) in accordance
with the City’s 5-year Capital Improvement Plan (2019-2023) and Pavement Management
Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Lakeville, Minnesota:
That the plans and specifications for City Project 19-01 are hereby approved by the City Council
of the City of Lakeville, Minnesota;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that bids will be advertised as required and opened at 10:30 a.m.
on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at City Hall, 20195 Holyoke Avenue, Lakeville, Minnesota.
ADOPTED by the Lakeville City Council this 4th day of March 2019.
