Resolution Authorizing the Disposition of Assets (Computer servers and printer/scanner)
Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to approve the Resolution
Authorizing the Disposition of Assets (computer servers and printer scanner)
Overview
The City of Lakeville's Information Technology department has a number of assets (computer
servers and printer/scanner) which have exceeded their useful life. Staff is recommending that
the assets be sold through the electronic bidding process, such as K -Bid, in order to receive the
highest and best price.
Primary Issues to Consider
Method of sale. Staff is recommending the items be sold by electronic bidding process (such
as K -Bid). Other communities have been very successful at selling items using the electronic
bidding process.
Items to be sold. Refer to Exhibit A of the attached resolution.
• Items remaining unsold would be donated.

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SALE OF ASSETS
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the assets listed on Schedule A
attached hereto are hereby authorized to be sold to the highest responsible bidder.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that any items not sold as shown on Exhibit A
attached hereto are authorized to be donated.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of January 2010.
