Proposed Action
RESOLUTION AMENDING THE
EMPLOYEE LEAVE POLICY
Item No
%m
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to approve Resolution
amending the employee leave policy.
Passage of this motion will result in an additional 24 hours leave, or pro -rated share of
same, given to all benefit earning non-union employees.
Overview
The Personnel Committee of the City Council has reviewed wage and benefit
information for non-union employees and is recommending that benefit earning, non-
union employees receive a one-time credit of leave hours for 2010.
In February 2010, 24 hours of leave will be added to the leave accruals for eligible full-
time employees. Eligible part-time employees will receive a pro -rated share.
Primary Issues to Consider
e How will this affect the City Budget? This is a non-cash benefit and as such
there is no direct effect on the City budget.
