A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING RULES AND RENTAL FEES FOR USE OF
CITY PARRS
WHEREAS, thh City has a need to establish a rules and rental fees
schedule for use of City parks.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Lakeville that the following policy of the City as set forth below shall be
adopted.
1. Broomball
A. The fee for Lakeville Broomball League Team Tournament
shall be $25.00.
B. The fee for non -Lakeville League Broomball Team Tourna-
ment shall be $40.00.
2. Softball
A. The fee for Lakeville Softball League Team Tournament
shall be $85.00.
B. A fee schedule for non -Lakeville League Softball
Tournament shall be:
0 - 16 team tournament $225.00
17 - 24 team tournament $250.00
25 - 32 team tournament $275.00
33 - 40 team tournament $300.00
41 - 48 team tournament $325.00
C. All tournament sponsors will be required to submit a
$100.00 damage deposit and the designated park rental
fee one week prior to the scheduled event.
D. The following annual softball tournaments will be exempt
from the above fees:
1. The Lakeville J.C.'s Tournament.
2. The Pan -0 -Frog Tournament.
3. Any state or district tournament sponsored or co-
sponsored by the Parks Department.
E. Each tournament and sponsor shall abide by the attached
rules and fees and a written agreement shall be executed
between the sponsor and City setting forth the fee and
terms for the use of the park. The attached rules and
regulations are identified as exhibit A.
3. Park Rental
A. The fee to reserve space in certain parks for the purpose
of non-resident group picnics shall be $1.50 per person.
B. A damage deposit of $100.00 and the designated rental fee
will be required by all non-resident groups reserving parks.
This deposit will be required two weeks prior to the
scheduled event. The deposit will be returned upon inspec-
tion of the facilities immediately of ter the event.
C. Confirmation of park rentals will be effective on a first
come, first pay basis. Those groups completing all aggree-
menta and payment of fees will be given priority.
D. Groups wishing to reserve space in certain parks for non-
resident group picnics shall abide by the attached rules
and regulations and a written agreement shall be executed
between the sponsor and the City setting forth the terms
for the use of the parks. The attached rules and regulations
are identified as exhibit B.
E. Groups wishing to rent equipment may do so at the following
rates:
1.
Volleyball Set
$5.00
2.
Horseshoes, per set
$1.00
3.
Dart Sets
$2.00
4.
Football or Frisbee
$1.00
5.
Pilo Polo Set
$5.00
6.
Softball Set
$5.00
4. The parking fees in Antlers Park shall be:
Resident seasonal $ 1.00
Non -Resident seasonal $10.00
Non -Resident daily $ 2.00
5. A fee schedule for the use of Bunker Hill pool and Parkview
pcol shall be:
A. Daily Fees: Youth $ .50 per session
Adults $1.00 per session
Family $2.00 per session
B. Seasonal Fees: Family Membership $27.00
Individual Membership $14.00
C. Pool users may purchase punch booklets at the rate of
$8.00 per book. Each book will be worth 20 swims.
D. Swimming lesson fees shall be $8.00 per student.
6. The fee for tennis lessons shall be $9.00 for adults and $6.00
for students.

EXHIBIT A
RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR LEAGUE AND NON-LEAGUE SOFTBALL TOURNAMENTS
1. The Lakeville Park Maintenance Department will provide normal Friday•
field maintenance. All field markings and additional maintenance will
be the responsibility of the sponsoring team.
2. The sponsoring team will be responsible for traffic and parking control.
Only vehicles used for maintenance will be allowed on turf areas. All
other vehicles will be restricted to parking areas.
3. The sponsoring team will be responsible for picking up all trash and
trash barrels and locating them on the east side of the shelter building.
4. All park facilities such as picnic tables, trash barrels, playground
equipment, fire grates and bleachers shall remain in their present
locations. The moving of any facilities will require additional permission.
RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE USE OF THE ARONSON PARK SHELTER.
CLEANUP CHECK LIST
1. Kitchen should be left completely cleaned:
- floors washed
- cupboards all cleaned
- counters all washed
- stove completely cleaned inside and out
- wall cleaned
- all trash cleaned up and removed
2. Bathroom Area:
- floors and walls should be cleaned
- sinks and urrinals cleaned
- trash all removed
3. Check to see that all running water is shut off. All lights and electrical
appliances should be turned off.
4. All doors should be securely locked before leaving.
S. Arrangements for entering the building can be made with the Park Department.
EXHIBIT B
RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR USE OF CITY PARKS BY NON-RESIDENT GROUPS
1. All groups reserving parks will be required to sign an agreement. All
groups, excluding Lakeville civic organizations and businesses, will be
required to pay set fees and a damage deposit one week prior to the
scheduled event.
2. Fees collected for scheduled events will be refunded in the case of
a valid reason for cancellation at the discretion of the Park and
Recreation Director.
3. A damage deposit fee of $100.00 will be required along with the desig-
nated rental fee of $1.50 per person one week prior to the scheduled
event. Damage deposit will be refunded after inspection of those
facilities rented.
4. Rental groups will use only those areas designated for group picnics.
Facilities such as the beach, horseshoe pits, volleyball court and
softball field will be available unless already being used by the
general public.
S. The pavillion will only be used in case of inclement weather after the
groups have arrived in the park. The pavillion cannot be reserved prior
to the actual picnic date.
6. Rental groups will be responsible for clean up of trash and debris in
the area scheduled for their activity.
7. Facilities such as picnic tables, benches, and other park facilities
will remain in their present locations. The moving of any facilities
will require additional permission.
8. The user group will be responsible for controlling all members of said
group. Any violations to City ordinances will result in immediate
cancellation of the rental group contract and the group will be removed
from City property.
9. All motor vehicles will be parked in designated parking areas unless
prior arrangements have been made with the Park Department.
10. Only groups consisting of 400 people or less will be considered for
rental of designated park areas.
11. Beer is allowed on park properties. HARD LIQUOR IS NOT ALLOWED!
