HomeMy WebLinkAbout79-054CITY OF LAKEVILLE RESOLUTION Date June 18, 1979 Resolution No. 79-54 Motion by Curry Seconded by Spande RESOLUTION ABOLISHING THE MOTOR VEHICLE FUND WHEREAS, Governmental Accounting and Financial Reporting Principles states "Governmental units should establish and maintain those funds required by law and sound financial administration. Only the minimun number of funds consistent with legal and operating requirements should be established, however, since unnecessary funds result in inflexibility, undue complexity, and inefficient financial administration," and WHEREAS, the motor vehicle deputy fees have historically been annually transfered to the General Fund, and WHEREAS, the expenditures for Motor Vehicle operations have historically been accounted for in the General Fund. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: Effective July 1, 1979 all revenues and expenditures from Motor Vehicle operations shall be accounted for in the General Fund; however, proper records shall continue to be maintained of receipts and disbursement to allow for proper management and accounting.
