HomeMy WebLinkAbout79-102CITY OF LAKEVILLE RESOLUTION Date October 15, 1979 Resolution No. 79-102 Motion by Zaun Seconded by Nelson FLAB AMBULANCE SERVICES WHEREAS, the Cities of Farmington, Lakeville, Apple Valley and Burnsville (FLAB) have heretofore entered into a Joint Powers agreement for the purpose of jointly contracting for ambulance services to serve FLAB, and WHEREAS, the FLAB Administrators/Managers have received proposals from Divine Redeemer Hospital, Inc. and Smith Ambulance Service to provide ambulance services to FLAB effective January 1, 1980, and WHEREAS, an evaluation of those proposals reveals that it would be in the best interests of FLAB to enter a contract with Divine Redeemer Hospitals, Inc. effective January 1, 1980. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakeville, as follows: 1. That this City Council does hereby intend to enter a contract with Divine Redeemer Hospitals, Inc. (Divine) with said contract to be effective January 1, 1980 and to expire on September 30, 1984, subject to the prepara- tion of appropriate contract documents acceptable to Divine and all the FLAB cities. 2. That this Resolution of Intent shall be null and void if the following provisions or similar provisions are not included in the above referenced contract: a. That during the period January 1, 1980 through September 30, 1980, Divine agrees to locate within the boundaries of FLAB, two paramedic ambulance vehicles. b. That on and after October 1, 1980, the location of such ambulances may be changed if an ambulance service ter- ritory comprising the FLAB cities and the nine other cities presently subsidizing Divine is implemented. FLAB shall have the option of participating in such an arrangement, if agreeable to the referenced nine cities. C. That during the term of the contract, FLAB's obligation for subsidy shall not exceed $1.95 per capita annually. ADOPTED this 15th day of October 1979.
