HomeMy WebLinkAbout77-16CITY OF LAKEVILLE RESOLUTION Date: 7 March, 1977 Resolution No. 77-16 Motion by Clarkson Seconded by Curry NEW CITY HALL WHEREAS, the Lakeville City Council has given consideration to the needs for a new City Hall over the past several years and has had preliminary space utilization surveys done by City staff and Ackerberg & Associates, architects, and WHEREAS, these investigations lead to the conclusion that the pre- sent office facilities are inadequate, and WHEREAS, the City Council has discussed the possibility of pursuing the use of solar heating or other types of energy efficient systems in a new City Hall, and WHEREAS, a necessary requirement for application for grants is a site and building plan. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Lakeville enter into a contract with Ackerberg & Associates to design a new City Hall facility to be placed on the northeast section of Aronson Park. That a citizens committee be appointed to serve as a review board in the preliminary design stages of the building and assist the City Council in presenting the project to the community.
