Motion by Mako CITY OF LAKEVILLE RESOLUTION Resolution 'No. 77-8 Seconded by Curry A resolution adopting the 1977 pay paln for the officers and employees of the City of Lakeville. WHEREAS, State law provides that the City Council set the compensation and benefits of all officers and employees of the City, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Lake- ville, Minnesota that Clerk -Treasurer is hereby authorized to write checks to be signed by the Mayor and City Clerk beginning January 1, 1977, and payable to duly elected and appointed officers and employees of the City of Lakeville in accordance with pay plans and contracts heretofore adopted or hereinafter adjusted as follows: GROUP I, ELECTED OFFICIALS Mayor Councilmembers GROUP II, SALARIED EMPLOYEES City Administrator/Clerk Chief of Police Asst. They shall receive eight or four hours of regular pay at their assigned hourly pay rate for the position hired for and approved by the City Council, when the Liquor Store is closed for the holiday, or the employee's regular assigned day off falls on a holiday that the Liquor Store is open. Overtime - For work over eight hours in a 24 hour period or over 40 hours in a seven day period, the hourly employee shall receive one and one-half times their hourly rate for the posi- tion worked in for the overtime hours. VACATION FOR PART-TIME EMPLOYEES, GROUP III & LIQUOR STORE & MAINT. I Employees who average sixteen (16) or more hours a week of work shall receive vacation pay at the proportionate share their weekly average represents of 40 hours, provided they have worked one year. After the second year they shall receive the average hours of the second years work multiplied by two times the hour- ly rate of their regular assigned position. PROGRESSION OF PAY RATE, GROUP III & LIQUOR STORE & MAINT. I Employees hired after January 1, 1977 shall start at 90% of the pay rate of the position and be increased to 95% at the comple- tion of 1,040 hours of work, and 100% of the position worked in after 2,080 hours of employment. PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT Street Department Maintenance II $ 6.87 Maintenance I 6.54 Utility Department Maintenance I 6.54 PARK AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT Park Department Maintenance I 6.54 Recreation Department Rink Attendants EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE Mechanic - Maintenance I 6.54 Part time or seasonal laborers in the Street, Utility, Park or Equipment Maintenance Departments $2.50 to $3.75 Full time employees hired after January 1, 1977 for any Maintenance I position listed above, shall start at 90% of the hourly rate for the first six months of work. Employee shall receive 95% after the satis- factory completion of the first six months, for the second six months, and shall receive 100% after the satisfactory completion of the second six months -2- CHANGE OF HOURS FOR REGULAR WORK DAY In the event that the Federal or State government or City Council determine that a four day work week is necessary due to the energy crisis, the work day shall be from. 6:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. for em- ployees of the Street, Utility, Park and Equipment Maintenance Departments and from 7:00 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. for City Hall employees. Time and one half to be paid hourly employees for work before or after these hours when it is not a regular schedule shift. TIME REPORTS. PAY PERIOD. AND PAY DATE All salaried and hourly employees, full time, part time and seasonal shall report their time worked on the attached Employee Time Report and shall be paid on 26 bi-weekly pay periods. Friday is the de- signated pay day except that when the Friday pay date is a holi- day, pay shall be made on the Thursday before. Pay shall be for the time worked to 12 midnight of the Sunday preceding the Fri- day pay date. MILEAGE RATE Employees who use their personal automobiles on approved City business shall be reimbursed at the rate of 15C per mile. The above stated salaries, hourly rates and policies to be effective January 1, 1977. APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Lakeville, Minnesota, this 7th day of February, 1977.
