RESOLUTION GRANTING A SETBACK VARIANCE FOR AN OFFICE BUILDING
AT 8860 - 207TH STREET WEST IN LAKEVILLE
WHEREAS, on May 28, 1976 Engineered Specialties, Inc. applied for a set-
back variance for its office building at 8860 - 207th Street West in Lakeville; and
WHEREAS, required mailed -and published notice of a hearing before the City
Planning Commission was duly given; and
WHEREAS, a hearing was held before the Planning Commission at the conclu-
sion of which the Planning Commission recommended approval of the variance based
upon the report of Midwest Planning and Research dated June 16, 1976, a copy of
which is attached hereto and incorporated herein; and
WHEREAS, the City Council concurs with the recommendation of the Planning
Commission for the reasons specified by the Planning Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LAKEVILLE:
A variance is hereby granted to extend the east end of the building at
8860 -207th Street West to within 2-5- feet of the property line on "207th -Street
conditioned upon:
1. All exterior storage shall be enclosed by a fence and shall be limited
to the east side of the main plant structure as per the site plan approved by the
City.
2. All "head -in" parking shall be removed from the main plant site except
that limited "head -in" parking shall be permitted on the property owned by Engineered
Specialties, Inc. south of the fenced storage area along Hughes Street,"and west of the
new addition on 207th Street, as per the approved site plan.
3. A parking lot shall be provided for fifty cars on the following legally
described property for so long as the property at 8860 - 207th Street West does not
have on-site parking that meets the requirement of the City's Ordinance:
Lot D except the East 195 feet thereof; Lot C except the East 195
feet thereof and the South 40 feet of Lot B except the East 195
feet thereof, all in Playf field Addition to the Village of Lakeville,
according to the plat thereof on file and of record in the office
of the Register of Deeds within and for said County and State.
4. The parking lot shall be screened and landscaped from view,of neigh-
boring residential uses to the west.
5. The above conditions shall run with the land and shall be binding
upon Engineered Specialties, Inc., its successors and assigns.
6. That Engineered Specialties, Inc., for itself, its successors and
assigns, agrees in writing to abide by the aforementioned conditions.
