Overview The area along Kenrick Court, adjacent to the businesses at CSAH 70 and I-35, has become a collection point for trash and debris. It also has become a long-term parking place for vehicles. Designating no parking areas along both sides of Kenrick Court is necessary to stop parking along the street segment and to allow for cleanup of the right of way. Local businesses, along with the Lakeville Police and Public Works Departments, are requesting the designation of Kenrick Court as a no parking area. The combined intent of the designation is as a first step in the process of making long-term quality of life improvements to the area. Primary Issues to Consider • Can improvements be done without a no parking designation? No, law enforcement is not able to take action in ticketing and removing vehicles and there is nothing then in place to prohibit a recurrence of parking activities. Supporting Information • A map of the area is attached.
