Date: Item No. POSITION CLASSIFICATION AND PAY PLAN AMENDMENT Proposed Action Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to approve the Resolution Amending the 2019 Position Classification and Pay Plan. Overview In December 2018, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 18-149 approving the 2019 Position Classification and Pay Plan. As part of the 2019 budget process, the City Council approved a Forestry Technician position. However, the position wasn’t included on the 2019 Position Classification and Pay Plan. The Forestry Technician (205) is classified a Grade 5 on the 2019 Position Classification and Pay Plan. Primary Issues to Consider • What Changes are proposed? Financial Impact: $ Budgeted: Y☒ N☐ Source: Related Documents: (CIP, ERP, etc.): Envision Lakeville Community Values: Good Value for Public Services Report Completed by: Tammy Schutta, Human Resources Manager May 20, 2019 Environmental Resources Fund CITY OF LAKEVILLE RESOLUTION NO. ____ RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 2019 POSITION CLASSIFICATION AND PAY PLAN WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted pay plans from time to time to provide for the compensation of employees in various positions; and WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 18-149 approving the 2019 position classification and pay plan for non-union employees; and WHEREAS, the Forestry Technician position is classified a Grade 5 and needs to be added to the 2019 Position Classification and Pay Plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakeville, Minnesota, that the attached amended pay plan is hereby adopted for the positions listed and will be effective January 1, 2019.
