Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to approve a resolution granting
approval to VFW Post 210 to conduct off-site gambling at All Saints Catholic Church, 19795
Holyoke Avenue.
Overview
VFW Post 210 has applied to the State of Minnesota Gambling Control Board to conduct off-site
gambling (bingo) at All Saints Catholic Church on September 13, 2019. The organization has a
gambling premise permit at Lakeville Brewing Company. The application for off-site activity
requires a resolution of approval by the City Council.
Primary Issues to Consider
Does this organization meet the qualifications to conduct off-site gambling?
VFW Post 210 is a qualified organization. The State of MN allows 12 off-site events each
calendar year.

RESOLUTION NO. 19-
RESOLUTION GRANTING APPROVAL FOR CHARITABLE GAMBLING
WHEREAS, the City of Lakeville received an application from Lakeville VFW Post 210 to
conduct off-site gambling at All Saints Church on September 13, 2019; and
WHEREAS, Lakeville VFW Post 210 is a qualified organization;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lakeville
grants approval to Lakeville VFW Post 210 to conduct off-site gambling on September 13,
2019 at All Saints Church, 19795 Holyoke Avenue.
