AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9.7 OF THE LAKEVII.LE
ZONING ORDINANCE CONCERNING LANDSCAPING
THE CITY COUNCII, OF THE CITY OF LAKEVILLE ORDAINS:
Section 1. Section 9.7 (3c) of the Lakeville Zoning Ordinance is amended to read:
9.7 (3c) TXpes of New Trees.
1. Suitable deciduous trees include:
Common Name Scientific Name
Oak Que~cus (all varieties)
Maple Acer (all varieties)
Hackberry ('Thornless) Celtic Occidentalis
Birch Betula (all varieties)
Honeylocust Gleditsia Tricanthos
Linden/Basswood (American and Little Leaf) Tilia (Cordata and Americana}
Ash (Green and te) Fraxinus (Pennsylvanica and
Americana}
Ginkgo (Male tree only) Ginkgo Biloba
Kentucky Coffee Tree Gymnocladus Dioicus
2. Suitable coniferous trees, for screening purposes only, include:

Section 2. Section 9.7 ~3d) of the Lakeville Zoning Ordinance is amended by
adding the following provision:
6. Trees and shrubs shall not be planted in the right-of-way except for
designated parkways as determined by the City Council.
Section 3. Section 9.7 (3e) of the Lakeville Zoning Ordinance is amended to
read:
9.7 (3e} Landscape Guarantee. All new plants shall be warranted for twelve
(12) months from the time planting has been completi;d. All plants
shall be alive, of good quality, and disease free at the end of the
warranty period or be replaced. Any. replacements shall be warranted
for twelve (12} months from the time of planting.
ec '0 4. This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage and
publication.
