Subject: 2017-2019 Economic Development Marketing Efforts
From 2017-2019, the Community and Economic Development Department has promoted the
City of Lakeville and encouraged economic development in the City through a variety of
marketing efforts, including advertising in several business publications such as Minnesota:
Thriving in the North (magazine), Minnesota Real Estate Journal (magazine and summit
sponsor), Business in Focus (magazine), Business Xpansion Journal (magazine), and Expansion
Solutions (magazine).
Lakeville entered the Minnesota Monthly’s Best Town search in 2017 and was recognized as
the #28 Best Place to Live by Money Magazine in 2018. Below is more information about the
publications and photos of current or past ads.
Action Requested: Staff is open to additional ideas regarding advertising opportunities.
