RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FUNDING Proposed Action Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to approve acceptance of public improvements and final payment to Northwest Asphalt, Inc. for Kenyon Avenue Reconstruction, City Project 18-06; and approve a resolution authorizing funding. Overview Northwest Asphalt, Inc. requests acceptance of public improvements and final payment in the amount of $11,442.69 for City Project 18-06. The original contract amount was $1,074,001.74. One change order in the amount of $25,707.59 was processed as result of conditions encountered in the field. The final construction cost is 1,144,268.75. City staff is requesting Council authorization to amend the 2019 budgets and make the appropriate transfers in 2019. CP 18-06 included an unrelated stormwater management improvement project; there will be one additional, separate contract to complete this work. The estimated cost of this work of $25,000 is included in the projected numbers below. Primary Issues to Consider • The public improvements were tested and inspected by the City’s Public Works Department. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Lakeville, Minnesota: The final costs of City Project 18-06 are $1,445,224. Anticipated funding sources are listed below. Staff is hereby authorized to amend the 2019 budgets and make the appropriate transfers between funds with respect to the funding sources up to 10% above the estimated costs.
