RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF AN INSPECTION VEHICLE
AND AMENDING THE 2019 GENERAL FUND BUDGET
Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to approve a resolution authorizing the
purchase of an Inspection vehicle and amending the 2019 General Fund budget.
Overview
A new Inspection vehicle was included in the 2020 proposed budget to replace an existing vehicle (unit
#4001). Staff recommends purchasing the new vehicle in 2019. Unit #4001 has over 100,000 miles and
is 8 years old. The body work and mechanical components are aging and need replacement.
The resolution includes an amendment to replace the vehicle ($25,000) using the additional permit
revenues generated by the high level of building activity as the funding source.
