CITY OF LAKEVILLE
DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE S OF THE LAREVILLE
CITY CODE CONCERNING POLICE REGIILATION
THE CITY 'COUNCIL. OF THE CITY OF LAKEViLLE ORDAINS:
Section 1. Section 5-1-1 of the Lakeville City Code i
amended by adding the following definition:
Quarantine. Isolating, an animal to prevent the spread of a
contagious :disease.
Section 2. ;Section 5-1-11-3A of the Lakeville City Code is
amended to read:
5-1-11-3 A: ANIMAL BITES,
Anyanmai which .may have exposed a person to rabies by bite
or other..manner may be immediately seized whether on or off the
owner's premises and quarantined for a period of at least ten
(10) days. If no current rabies vaccination of the animal can be
proven,. the animal shall be quarantined at a veterinary facility,
within the City, for a period of ten (10) days. The. owner shall.
be responsible for the fees incurred. Any police officer, animal
control officer, or community service officer. shall have the
authority to verify if the animal is properly quarantined.
Section 3. Section 5-1-22-ZA of the Lakeville City Code is
amended to reads
The owner of any place where four (4) or more dogs are kept,
over six (6) months. of age, shall be deemed-the operator of
a dog kennel..
Section 4. This ordinance shall be effective immediately
upon its passage and publication.
ADOPTED by the Lakeville City Council this 5th day of
August 1991.. .

5 OF THE LAKEVILLE CITY CODE
CONCERNING POLICE
REGULATION
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LAKEVILLE ORDAINS:
Section 1, Section 6-1-1 of the
Lakeville City Code is amended by adding
the following definition.
Quarantine. Isolating an animal

gious disease.
Section 2. Section 5-1-11-3A of the
Lakeville City Code is amended to read:
6-1.11-3A: ANIMAL BITES.
Any animal which may have exposed
a person to rabies by bite or any other
manner may be immediately seized
whether on or off the owner's premises
and quarantined for a period of at least
ten (10) days. If no current rabies vacci-
nation of the animal can be proven, the
animal shall be quarantined at a veteri-
nary facility, within the City, for a period

sponsible for the fees incurred. Any police
