THE LAKEVILLE MUNICIPAL LIQUOR STORES
Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Motion to approve resolution accepting
donations valued at $20,566.15 on behalf of Lakeville Municipal Liquor customers to be used
by the Lakeville Fire Department towards the restoration of the 1937 antique fire engine.
Overview
The Lakeville Municipal Liquor Stores hosted a fundraiser for the Lakeville Fire Department in
the month of October 2019. Funds were raised for the restoration of the 1937 antique fire
engine through the use of donation jars, rounding up at the registers and the sale of discounted
club memberships.
In addition to the donations, a transfer from the Liquor Fund will be provided to the Fire
Department as a result of the proceeds from our second collaborative beer, Restoration 37. The
value of these proceeds is $5,495.40.
Total funds provided by the Liquor Department for the restoration of the antique fire engine
are $26,061.55.
Primary Issues to Consider
Lakeville Liquors hosts up to three donation roundups annually as part of our ongoing
