FIRST AMENDMENT TO GRANT AGREEMENT WITH DAKOTA COUNTY
FOR AQUATIC INVASIVE SPECIES PROGRAM FUNDING ASSISTANCE
Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to approve the First Amendment to
Grant Agreement with Dakota County for funding assistance of Aquatic Invasive Species 2019
prevention activities.
Overview
The City Council approved the original Grant Agreement at its March 18, 2019 meeting. The Grant
Agreement provided funding for local Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) prevention activities,
including a Carp inventory and assessment at East Lake. The grant amendment reflects changes to
the terms of the Agreement. Specifically, the Effective Date and Term is proposed to be April 1,
2019 through June 1, 2020.
Primary Issues to Consider
• The original Agreement establishes an Effective Date and Term of April 1, 2019 through
December 31, 2019 and requires that any amendments be expressed in writing and signed
by the parties.
