Overview The 1997 Legislature made DWI enforcement more stringent by enabling cities to seize vehicles that are involved in certain violations. The seized vehicle may be held a minimum of 30 days prior to the expiration of the owner’s right to challenge the forfeiture. Vehicles the City currently has in storage may be disposed of in accordance with Minnesota Statute Section 169A.63, Subd. 10.
