Home My WebLink AboutItem 06.d Date: Item No. FINAL PLAT EXTENSIONS Proposed Action Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to approve an extension for the Berres Ridge 6th Addition and Berean Baptist Church final plats. Overview Due to the pending recording deadlines for Berres Ridge 6th Addition and Berean Baptist Church, applicants and property owners have requested extensions to the approvals, as indicated below. Berres Ridge 6th Addition final plat was approved by the City Council on December 16, 2019 and the Development Contract included a plat recording deadline of July 1, 2020. Due to the current pandemic, the planned start date for the project has been pushed to late July or August. Winkler Development is requesting an extension to August 3, 2020. Berean Baptist Church final plat was approved by the City Council on August 26, 2019. Extensions to the final plat recording deadline were approved by the City Council on November 18, 2019 (to February 28, 2020) and on February 18, 2020 (to June 1, 2020). The church is still hopeful to be able to move forward by the end of the summer. The current request is to extend the recording deadline to September 8, 2020. Co., LLC would like to request to extend the deadline for recording the final plat of Berres Ridge 6th Addition from the current date of July 1, 2020 to August 1, 2020. Due to the Covid-19 shutdown that started in March of this year, the project start times have been delayed. The plan would be to start construction at the end or July or August 1, but we cannot start until the development loan is closed and the final plat is recorded. It is expected that this will happen sometime in mid July and therefore the one month extension request to record the final plat. If you could place this on the next City Council meeting for review and approval that would great. Please let me know if there is anything else you need from me. Thanks. June 15 is the last council meeting before the July 1 deadline. I would need an email from you requesting the extension by the end of the day on June 5. The email should include a new date to which you want the plat recording deadline extended to and a brief reason for the extension. What does it take to extend that to August 1, 2020? Our plan is to start utility work during the end of July but due to timing with other projects are bank is looking to close early to mid July on the construction loan so we might miss the July 1 date by a couple of weeks. Just trying to stay on top of this so we do not miss the the date if we cannot get our bank to close prior to July 1. Thanks.
