ACCEPTING DONATION TO THE LAKEVILLE POLICE DEPARMENT
Proposed Action Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to accept a donation of $100 from resident James H. Wilde for the Lakeville Police Department.
Overview James H. Wilde has donated to the Lakeville Police Department for the past several years. The donated funds are to be used for equipment for the Police Department.
Primary Issues to Consider
• Gifts and donations require approval of the City Council.
• The Police Department appreciates the support of Mr. Wilde and thanks him for his support.

RESOLUTION NO._________
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION
WHEREAS, James H. Wilde, a Lakeville resident, donated $100 to the Lakeville Police Department; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 465.03 requires all gifts and donation of real or personal property be accepted only with the adoption of a resolution of the governing body.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakeville that the donation of $100 from James H. Wilde is hereby accepted; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Lakeville sincerely thanks Mr. Wilde for his generous donation.
