There will be new Golf classes in collaboration with Heritage Links, a Clay, Skeet and Trap program and numerous environmental education programs at Ritter Farm park facilitated by EcoElsa. New Adult Athletics include Soccer, a Bocce League and an In-house Bean Bags league. In addition to the in-person classes, the Lakeville Area Arts Center is working to make art accessible to you in your home by offering new virtual classes and Art Kits To-Go. ADULT ART CLASSES Pottery: Wheel Throwing & Handbuilding Demonstrations will cover hand- building and wheel throwing techniques for all levels. Students work at their own pace with both individualized and group instruction. Oil Painting This class is designed for all levels and is tailored to individual student goals. Students can learn Alla Prima (wet-on-wet) or the classical style of painting using the 7-layer method. Learn to paint still life, floral, portrait or landscape. Classes will meet at Ritter Farm Park in the Ed Mako building. All glazes are food and oven safe. Homeschool Art Classes The art sampler class for kids ages 6 and up introduces students to a variety of art forms to see what they like best. Kids Acrylic Painting Instructor-led paintings featuring a variety of seasonal paintings that kids will enjoy. This is a great way to introduce your child to a life-long hobby of painting. Youth Theater Camps Join Prairie Fire Theatre in January for a one-week camp. Upon registration your child is accepted into the cast — no acting experience necessary. All costumes, music and scenery are provided and are included in the registration fee. Acrylic Painting All skill levels are welcome in this step-by-step approach to acrylic painting in the subject matter of your choice. Supplies are provided. Watercolor Painting Explore the wonder of watercolor by learning the fundamentals and techniques of this exciting medium. Supplies are provided.
