• New programs for the summer 2020 include:
RevSports T-ball and Basketball, Bumblebees and Butterflies, Kids
Yoga, Sensory-Friendly Play in the Parks, Card and Coin Magic. There
will be new Golf classes in collaboration with Heritage Links, a Clay,
Skeet and Trap program and numerous environmental education
programs at Ritter Farm park facilitated by EcoElsa. New Adult
Athletics include Soccer, a Bocce League and an In-house Bean Bags
league.

Dogsled Rides- Enjoy

Guided Snowshoe Hike

Art & Theater Programs
Winter/Spring 2021
We are excited to announce a preview of our winter schedule of classes. In
addition to the in-person classes, the Lakeville Area Arts Center is working to
make art accessible to you in your home by offering new virtual classes and

ADULT ART CLASSES
Pottery: Wheel Throwing & Handbuilding
Demonstrations will cover hand-
building and wheel throwing
techniques for all levels. Students
work at their own pace with both
individualized and group instruction.
Oil Painting
This class is designed for all levels
and is tailored to individual student
goals. Students can learn Alla
Prima (wet-on-wet) or the classical
style of painting using the 7-layer
method. Learn to paint still life, floral,
portrait or landscape. Classes will
meet at Ritter Farm Park in the Ed
Mako building. Supply list is available
upon registration.These activities are made possible
by the voters of Minnesota through
a Minnesota State Arts Board
Operating Support grant, thanks to
the legislative appropriation from
the arts and cultural heritage fund.

YOUTH ART CLASSES
Kids Clay & Wheel Throwing
We offer a variety of options to
create works of art in clay utilizing
clay slabs and wheel throwing.
All glazes are food and oven safe.
Homeschool Art Classes
The art sampler class for kids ages
6 and up introduces students to a
variety of art forms to see what they
like best.
Kids Acrylic Painting
Instructor-led paintings featuring a
variety of seasonal paintings that
kids will enjoy. This is a great way to
introduce your child to a life-long
hobby of painting.
Youth Theater Camps
Join Prairie Fire Theatre in January
for a one-week camp. Upon
registration your child is accepted
into the cast — no acting experience
necessary. All costumes, music
and scenery are provided and are
included in the registration fee.
Acrylic Painting
All skill levels are welcome in this
step-by-step approach to acrylic
painting in the subject matter of your
choice. Supplies are provided.
Watercolor Painting
Explore the wonder of watercolor
by learning the fundamentals and
techniques of this exciting medium.
Supplies are provided.
Specialty Workshops
Choose from a variety of workshops
including fiber art, journaling, wood
carving and Zentangle. Supplies are
provided.
The Lakeville Area Active Adults
(LAAA) program serves ages 50 and
over with programs and activities
to meet social, physical and mental
health needs of our members.

gatherings limited, we have decided to offer a fun opportunity and bring the popular Daddy and Daughter Dance
event to your home. Register for an event box and pick an evening in your schedule to celebrate together. Plan on
making many wonderful memories while dancing at home, participating in fun activities together and creating
crafts and keepsakes to remember the evening. Participants can pick up their event kit the week of February 8.
