HomeMy WebLinkAbout0386 ORDINANCE NO. 38b CITY OF LAKEVILLE DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 1 OF THE LAREVILLE CITY CODE CONCERNING THE CITY CLERR AND CITY TREASURER .THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF_LAKEVILLE ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 1-7-1 of the Lakeville City Code is amended to read: 1-7-1 City Clerk and City Treasurer. A. -The separate offices of city clerk and city treasurer. are established. B. The bookkeeping duties of the city clerk are delegated to the city treasurer. The city treasurer, at the expense of the. City, shall furnish-a fidelity bond conditioned for the faithful exercise of the treasurer's duties C. Annually, the City Council shall provide for an audit of the City's financial affairs in accordance with the minimum procedures prescribed by the state auditor. Section. 2. Sections 1-6-5 and 1-7-2 of the Lakeville City Code are .hereby repealed. Section 3. This ordinance shall be effective immediately following its passage and publication.
