HomeMy WebLinkAbout02-22-2022CITY OF LAKEVILLE CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES February 22, 2022 Mayor Anderson called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Members Present: Mayor Anderson, Council Members Bermel, Hellier, Lee, Volk Staff Present: Justin Miller, City Administrator; Andrea McDowell Poehler, City Attorney, Jeff Long, Police Chief, Paul Oehme, Public Works Director; Jerilyn Erickson, Finance Director; John Hennen, Parks & Recreation Director; Allyn Kuennen, Assistant City Administrator; Tamara Wallace, Deputy Clerk 3. Citizen Comments: Tom Engelhardt (20828 Italy Avenue) - Expressed concerns with what he feels are hazardous and impassable entrances to sidewalks and trails as a result of snow build-up caused by the street plows. He also stated many pedestrian crossing buttons on walk paths were hard to access due to ice accumulation. Mayor Anderson referred the matter to city staff. Doug Boedecker (5504 Harriet Avenue) - Stated that he has spoken to the engineering department about concerns that the upcoming street reconstruction project for 210' does not address the continuous storm water drainage issues he has had on his property. Mayor Anderson indicated he would have a further conversation with staff regarding the matter. 4. Additional Agenda Information: No additional agenda information 5. Presentations/Introductions: Director Hennen presented the Parks & Recreation department's quarterly report. 6. Consent Agenda: Motion was made by Bermel, seconded by Lee, to approve the following: a. Check Register Summary b. Minutes of the 2/7/2022 City Council Meeting c. Agreement with Ferguson Meter and Automation Group for WaterSmart services and software CITY COUNCIL Minutes, February 22, 2022 Page 2 d. Contract amendment with SaveATree for tree maintenance services e. Resolution No. 22-15 approving the Cedar Hills 3rd Addition Final Plat f. Agreement with Marco Technologies LLC for Water Treatment Facility conference room technology improvements g. Contract with Rainbow Company for ash tree injection services h. Agreement with Locality Media for Fire Department records management software i. Quote from Ziegler CAT for Caterpillar grader engine repair j. Resolution No. 22-16 Calling Public Hearing on Unpaid Special Charges k. Resolution No. 22-17 Supporting Housing and Local Decision -Making Authority 1. Amended and Restated Joint Powers Agreement for Lakeville Arenas Voice vote was taken on the motion. Ayes - unanimous 7. Unfinished business: No unfinished business 11.
