Action Deadline: April 19, 2022 BACKGROUND Redstone Development Co., Inc. and Pietsch Builders have applied for an easement vacation to reduce the width of two side yard easements on Lots 18 and 19, Block 1, Redstone. The Redstone plat is located south of 185th Street (future CSAH 60) and east of Highview Avenue. The final plat was approved by the City Council on May 3, 2021. The Redstone easement vacation application was distributed to the Engineering Division for their review. EXHIBITS A. Aerial Map B. Easement vacation sketch The original development plans for Redstone included oversized side yard easements between Lots 18 and 19, Block 1 to accommodate a storm sewer pipe proposed to be located along the property line between the two lots. During construction of utilities on the site, the grading plan was revised and the storm sewer line was no longer needed in this location. The Engineering Division supports the easement vacation request to reduce the side yard easement to the normal width. The easement to be vacated is shown in gray on Exhibit B. RECOMMENDATION Planning Department staff recommends approval of the Redstone easement vacation.
