HomeMy WebLinkAbout22-150CITY OF LAKEVILLE RESOLUTION NO. 22-150 Resolution Authorizing the Reconveyance of Portions of Forfeited Land to the State of Minnesota WHEREAS, on September 20, 2018, the State of Minnesota, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes,Section 282.01, and by state deed numbered 2232907, conveyed to the City of Lakeville the real property legally described below (hereinafter "Property") with the restriction that the Property be used exclusively for the authorized public use of right-of-way purposes: •22-01600-54-011•The South Half of the North Half of the South Half of the Northwest Quarter of theSouthwest Quarter of Section 16, Township 114, Range 20WHEREAS, the City of Lakeville has determined it will not need all the Property for right-ofway purposes and wishes to reconvey a portion of the Property back to the State of Minnesota. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Lakeville,Minnesota: 1.That the City of Lakeville approves the reconveyance of a portion of the Property to theState of Minnesota, legally described below:•That part of the South Half of the North Half of the South Half of the NorthwestQuarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 16, Township 114, Range 20, DakotaCounty, Minnesota, lying easterly of the West 70 feet thereof.2.That the Mayor, City Clerk and City Engineer are authorized to execute all documentsnecessary, as required by the Minnesota Department of Revenue, to effect thereconveyance of a portion of the Property back to the State of Minnesota.ADOPTED by the Lakeville City Council this 17th day of October 2022.CITY OF LAKEVILLE Douglas P.
