HomeMy WebLinkAbout01-04 CITY OF LAKEVILLE PARKS, RECREATION & NATURAL RESOURCES COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES January 4, 2023 Committee Member Haneman called the virtual meeting to order at 6:03 p.m. Members Present: Alex Nicholson, Jim Storms, Lindsay Haneman, Mike Richards (alternate), Megan Kelley, Monica Joubert, Steve Henneberry Members Absent: Holly Weberg Staff Present: Parks and Recreation Director John Hennen, Environmental Resources Manager Mac Cafferty 1. Approval of November 16, 2022 minutes Motion was made by Nicholson, seconded by Henneberry to approve the November 16, 2022 minutes as written. Ayes: unanimous 2. Citizen comments No citizens were present. 3. Estoria Lakeville Preliminary Plat This plat includes the development of one lot into an 89-unit senior co-op building located west of Ipava Avenue and north of 165th Street. A tree preservation plan has been submitted, 16 of the 19 significant trees on site will be removed. There are no wetlands located on site and the park dedication fee will be satisfied with a cash contribution. There will be some privately maintained and operated recreation amenities on site including, an open lawn area, two pickleball courts, garden areas and a 570-square foot fenced dog area. There will be a privately maintained stormwater basin that will connect with Hosana’s stormwater system in addition to a filtration and ponding area on the north side of the site. The development will also share some of Hosana’s expansive parking lot. Motion made by Richards, seconded by Joubert to recommend approval of the Estoria Lakeville Preliminary Plat as presented in the December 28 Planning and Engineering reports. Park Projects Updates and Staff Report CenterPoint Energy has completed the gas line work at Antlers Park, the shelters and playground have been removed. Components of the project including the construction of new shelters and other items will be out for bid in mid-January. Construction of the Arts Center Loading Dock and Annex continues and is set to be completed by the end of the year. The Ritter Farm Park cabin project continues with the completion of HVAC and electrical work being completed. Warming houses officially opened on December 27, early season snow events have impacted staff’s ability to flood and maintain the ice. 6. Other Business No other business.
