Don Seiler, Chair; Lowell Collman, Vice Chair; Andrew Phillips, Secretary. Hearing no
additional nominations, Acting Chair Collman closed nominations and held a vote.
Strategic Plan for Economic Development
Ms. Bachmayer provided an overview of the previous strategic planning process and the
2020-2023 Strategic Plan for Economic Development executive summary. The four strategic
priorities from that plan are 1. Business Retention, Expansion and Diversification; 2.
Maximize and Market Our Competitive Edge; 3. Housing to Support Economic Goals; 4.
Workforce Availability and Utilization. Following that presentation, Mr. Aarsvold reviewed
the definition and purpose of strategic planning, as well as current market conditions and

members were then broken into three small groups for further SWOT discussion. Notes from
those conversations were shared with Ehlers and will be incorporated in the next strategic
planning session in May.
Reschedule May meeting
Alternate dates for the May meeting were discussed, due to its proximity to Memorial Day
and a scheduling conflict. Those present agreed that Thursday, May 23 was an acceptable
alternate meeting date. The entire EDC will be polled before making the date change.
