YOUTH ADVISORY COMMISSION MINUTES
November 16, 2025
6:30 p.m.
1. Call to Order
Chair, Mohamed, called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m.

Addison Johnson, Savannah Smalley, Faisal Ali, Imran Ali, Faadumo Mohamed, Zavieanna

Staff Present: Taylor Snider, Assistant to the City Administrator
3. Approval of Agenda
I. Ali made the motion to approve the agenda. Z. Johnson seconded that motion.
Members unanimously approved the agenda.
4. Consent Agenda
A.Johnson made the motion to approve the agenda. Schmidt seconded that motion.
Members approved the Consent Agenda, which consisted of the minutes from October 19,
2025.
5. Commissioner Monthly Updates
The commissioners went around the group and gave an update of what they have been up to
over the last month.
6. Leadership Activity — The Human Knot
The commissioners participated in the activity and debriefed how it went after.
7. Staff Presentation — Snider on the City of Lakeville's Organizational Structure
Snider presented to the group about how the City's government works and where the
commission plays a role.
8. Roundtable Discussion
a. Volunteer Opportunities
The group will be ringing bells for the Salvation Army on December 8 in Lakeville.
b. December Meeting Date
The Commission decided to move their December meeting to December 14, 2025. The
meeting will take place at City Hall.
9. Announcements/Other
10. Next meeting Date: December 14, 2025, at City Hall.
11. Adjourn
The meeting adjourned at 7:46 p.m.
