YOUTH ADVISORY COMMISSION MINUTES
December 14, 2025
6:30 p.m.
1. Call to Order
Chair, Mohamed, called the meeting to order at 6:33 p.m.
2. Roll Call

Members Present: Youth Advisory Commission Members: Olivia Schmidt, Katie Sheehan,
Savannah Smalley, Faadumo Mohamed, Zavieanna Johnson
Staff Present: Taylor Snider, Assistant to the City Administrator
3. Approval of Agenda
Smalley made the motion to approve the agenda. Z. Johnson seconded that motion.
Members unanimously approved the agenda.
4. Consent Agenda
Z. Johnson made the motion to approve the agenda. Sheehan seconded that motion.
Members approved the Consent Agenda, which consisted of the minutes from November 16,
2025.
5. Lakeville Connect! — Isha Mekala
Isha Mekala presented her new webpage, Lakeville Connect!, to the group.
6. Lakeville Historical Society — Robin Berres-Gibbs
Robin Gave the commissioners a tour of the Lakeville Area Historical Society Museum and
gave them background on what Lakeville used to be like before it became the city it is today.
The Commissioners were impressed with some of the old artifacts on display.
7. Roundtable Discussion
a. Commissioner updates
Bell ringing went well. The group took shifts outside due to the cold and snow. Overall,
a successful fundraiser!
b. Volunteer Opportunities
Snider informed the group of different opportunities in the City
8. Announcements/Other
9. Next meeting Date: January 18, 2025, at Lakeville Fire Department.
10. Adjourn
The meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
