Resolution Amending Resolution 11-46 Regarding the Finance Committee
WHEREAS, on May 16, 2011, the City Council adopted Resolution 11-46 establishing the
Finance Committee and setting the number of members at seven (7); and
WHEREAS, on August 15, 2011, the City Council adopted Resolution 11-86 which added an
alternate member (to serve one-year term) to the committee; and
WHEREAS, on March 2, 2022, the City Council adopted Resolution 22-23 to add a second
alternate member (to serve one-year term) to the committee; and
WHEREAS, on April 22, 2026, the Finance Committee unanimously agreed to remove the two-
year limitation, effective immediately, including for any currently serving chairperson; and
WHEREAS, Section 3C-3 of the Resolution 11-46 currently provides for monthly meetings,
which does not reflect actual practice, and the Council wishes to amend the meeting schedule
accordingly; and
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakeville, Minnesota as follows:
The Finance Committee may elect any member to the chairperson and vice chairperson
roles without limitation to years of consecutive service.
2. The Finance Committee meetings are to be scheduled every two months unless deemed
unnecessary by staff or chairperson.
