HomeMy WebLinkAbout99-012 CITY OF LAKEVILLE RESOLUTION Date January 19, 1999 Resolution No. 99-12 Motion By Ryan Seconded By Mulvihill RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ESTABLISHMENT OF A CRIMINAL APPREHENSION CHECKING ACCOUNT The City Council of the City of Lakeville, Minnesota does hereby authorize the City Treasurer/Finance Director to establish a Criminal Apprehension Checking Account at a designated City Depository in accordance with the Policies and Procedures as shown on Exhibit A. Purpose Funds drawn on the account may be used solely for the purpose of purchasing contraband, stolen property or information related to solving a crime. B. Authorized Personnel The following persons are hereby authorized to draw on the account for authorized purposes as stated above: 1) Police Lieutenants 2) Police Sergeants C. Account Balance City TreasurerlFinance Director shall maintain a balance of $10 in the account. D. Loan Advance • The bank is authorized to advance up to but not exceeding $500.00. The bank shall on the next business day following the loan advance forward written documentation to the City Treasurer/Finance Director describing the transaction. E. Documentation Persons drawing on the account must submit documentation to the City Treasurer/Finance Director on the next business day following the event. Documentation shall provide adequate details including the case number, persons involved, dates and other relevant information. F. Security a) Cash card shall be stored in a secure location and accessible only by authorized personnel as outlined above. b) The cash access security code shall only be available to City Treasurer/Finance Director and authorized personnel. G. Account Administration The City Treasurer/Finance Director is hereby responsible for the administration of the account • in accordance with state and local laws.
