RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATIONS

WHEREAS, the following businesses have offered to donate items totaling
$420.000 to the City of Lakeville;
• Babes One $10.00 gift certificate
• Dairy Queen Three $5.00 gift certificates
• Enggren's Five $10.00 gift certificates
• Great Clips Two haircuts
• Grindstone Family Restaurant One $8.00 gift certificate, one $3.00 certificate, one
$1.00 certificate
• KFC One 8 pc. meal; two adult buffets
• Lakeville Movie Theater Ten free movie passes
• McDonalds Twenty $1.00 gift certificates
• Subway / TCBY Ten free ice cream cones; fifteen 6 "subs
• SuperAmerica Five $S. 00 gift certificates
• Taco Bell Ten free taco gift certificates
• Tacoville Four $S. 00 gift certificate
• Ole Piper Inn Three $10.00 gift certificates
• • Pizza Hut Three large pizzas ($15.00 each); and
WHEREAS, the items would be beneficial to the Parks and Recreation Department in the
implementation of the 1999 Panorama of Progress Teen Dance; and
WHEREAS, the businesses have offered to transfer full rights of ownership of the items to
the City of Lakeville with no conditions or reservations; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 465.03 requires that all gifts and donations of real or
personal property be accepted only with the adoption of a resolution of the governing body.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakeville that
the donations from various businesses are hereby accepted; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Lakeville sincerely thanks these businesses
for their donations.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the Lakeville City Council this 6a' day of July, 1999.
