HomeMy WebLinkAbout98-253 CITY OF LAKEVILLE RESOLUTION DATE: December 7, 1998 RESOLUTION NO: 98-253 MOTION BY: Mulvihill SECONDED BY: Holberg RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING STORM SEWER AREA CHARGES FOR 1999 WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City to establish storm sewer rates that are current with the estimated cost of construction of the planned improvements for an effective storm drainage system. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lakeville City Council: 1. The storm sewer charge set by this resolution shall be paid in cash or may be specially assessed on the following projects for a period not to exceed ten (10) years at an interest rate approved by the City Council. a. New Plats and Administrative Subdivisions. Credits will be given for. trunk storm sewer oversizing, regional ponding, and wetland dedication to the City within the plat or subdivision. b. Developing multiple (except duplexes), commercial, industrial and institution parcels of land that have not been previously assessed the storm sewer area charge through platting. c. Storm Sewer Improvement. Properties previously assessed the full storm sewer area charge shall not be reassessed for off-site improvements. 2. ~ The storm sewer charges shall be: a. Type I -Single and two family lots, $.119 cents per square foot per gross area. b. Type II -Multiple family lots, $.132 cents per square foot per gross area. c. Type III -Commercial/industrial/institution lots, $.167 cents per square foot per gross area. d. Other Property - To be determined by the City Engineer based upon the amount of runoff generated, and type of property use. i, e. A charge per square foot shall be added to the above rates for property in the Crystal Lake Drainage District as follows: Type I $.0090 Type II $.0103 Type III $.0129 3. This resolution shall be updated from time to time to reflect changes in construction costs. APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Lakeville, Minnesota, this 7th day of December, 1998 to be effective January 1, 1999.
