HomeMy WebLinkAbout98-169 s • CITY OF LAKEVILLE RESOLUTION Date August 17, 1998 Resolution No. 98-169 Motion By Sindt Seconded By Holberg RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CAR ALLOWANCES WHEREAS, the City Engineer, the Police Chief, the Director of Operations and Maintenance, the Community and Economic Development Director, the Director of Parks and Recreation, the Liquor Manager and the Chief Building Inspector are required to drive their privately owned cars as part of their job duties. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakeville: a) Effective January 1, 1998, the City Engineer, the Police Chief and Director of Operations and Maintenance shall each be paid a $375.00 per month car allowance. In addition, these employees shall be reimbursed on a per mile basis at the rate provided under IRS regulations for travel outside of the seven-county metropolitan area. . b) Effective January 1, 1998, the Community and Economic Development Director, the Director of Parks and Recreation, and the Liquor Manager shall each be paid a $250.00 per month car allowance. In .addition, these employees shall be reimbursed on a per mile basis at the rate provided under IRS regulations for travel outside of the seven-county metropolitan area. c) Effective September 1, 1998, the Chief Building Inspector shall be paid a $250.00 per month car allowance. The Chief Building Inspector shall. receive $48.50 for the month of August 1998, which shall represent the prorata share of car allowance from the first date of hire through the end of the month. In addition, the Chief Building Inspector shall be reimbursed on a per mile basis at the rate provided under the TRS regulations for travel outside the seven county metropolitan area.
