RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION FROM DOMINO'S PIZZA,
LAKEVILLE SANITARY SERVICE, INC., QUALITY WASTE CONTROL, INC. AND
ARDEN INTERNATIONAL HITCHENS FOR COMMUNITY CLEAN-UP DAY.
WHEREAS, the City of Lakeville accepts donations from private organizations to assist in
Community Clean-Up/Earth Day efforts; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lakeville celebrated Earth Day on April 18, 1998, with the Annual
Community Clean-Up Day providing the opportunity for civic groups, residents and City employees to
help beautify the community by removing rubbish from area roadsides and ditches; and
WHEREAS, Domino's Pizza donated food to the civic groups, residents and City employees who
participated in clean-up efforts; and
WHEREAS, Lakeville Sanitary Service, Inc. and Quality Waste Control, Inc. donated rubbish
. collection services; and
WHEREAS, Arden International Kitchens donated barrels for the collection of used oil; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 465.03 requires that all gifts and donations of real or personal
property be accepted only with the adoption of a resolution of the governing body.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Lakeville that the donation of
food by Domino's Pizza, rubbish collection services by Lakeville Sanitary Service, Inc. and Quality
Waste Control, Inc. and barrels from Arden International Kitchens is hereby accepted; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Lakeville sincerely thanks Domino's Pizza,
Lakeville Sanitary Service, Inc., Quality Waste Control, Inc. and Arden International Kitchens for their
generous donation and this outstanding example ofcivic-mindedness.
