RESOLUTION

RESOLUTION AWARDING ELEVEN CONTRACTS, REJECTING BIDS AND
AUTHORIZING THE REBIDDING OF CONTRACT 2.08 FOR LAKEVILLE
LIQUOR STORE NO. 4, BID PACKAGE NO.2
WHEREAS, the City of Lakeville approved plans and specifications and
authorized the taking of bids for Project 97-18 Liquor Store No. 4, Bid Package No. 2 on
June 2, I997; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lakeville has taken sealed bids on June 24, 1997; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible bidder for Contract 2.08-rough carpentry,.
finish carpentry, casework, architectural woodwork and specialties submitted a bid of
$116,500 which exceeds budget by $56,3.07.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,. that the City Council hereby awards
the following contracts to the lowest responsible bidders that meet the bid specifications as
listed below:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bids for Contract 2.08 are hereby rejected.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the solicitation for bids for carpentry and finish
carpentry shall be advertised for as required by applicable law and opened at 2:00 p.m. on
Thursday, July 24 at Lakeville City Hall, 20195 Holyoke Avenue, Lakeville, Minnesota.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that quotes will be obtained for furnish and install
wine rack millwork, checkout counter millwork, standard manufacturer cabinet, shelving,
loading dock equipment and overhead doors.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Lakeville,
Minnesota, this 7th day of July, 1997.
