HomeMy WebLinkAbout96-108 RESOLUTION DATE ,3une 17, 1996 RESOLUTION NO. 96-108 MOTION BY H©lberg SECONDED BY Sindt RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION WHEREAS, the City of Lakeville accepts donations from private organizations to assist in Community Clean-Up/Earth Day efforts; and WHEREAS, the City of Lakeville celebrated Earth Day on April 27, 1996 with the Annual Community Clean-Up Day providing the opportunity for civic groups, residents and City employees to help beautify the community by removing rubbish from area roadsides and ditches; and WHEREAS, Domino's Pizza donated food to the civic groups, residents and City employees who participated in clean-up efforts; and WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 465.03 requires that all gifts and donations of real i or personal property be accepted only with the adoption of a resolution of the governing body. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Lakeville that the donation of food by Domino's Pizza is hereby accepted; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Lakeville sincerely thanks Domino's Pizza for their generous donation and this outstanding example of civic- mindedness.
