HomeMy WebLinkAbout95-071 CITY OF LAKEVILLE LOCAL GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION DATE: April 17, 1995 RESOLUTION NO.: 95-71 MOTION BY Sindt SECONDED BY: Mulvihill RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING STAFF TO SUBMIT STATE GRANT APPLICATION FOR THREE SEPARATE PARK ACQUISITION AND DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS: 1. Acquisition of Northeast Sector Community Park. 2. Acquisition and development of Youth Community Playfield. 3. Acquisition and development of Juno Trail trailway. • Be it resolved that the City of Lakeville act as a legal sponsor for three different Outdoor Recreation Grant Program applications (Youth Community Playfield, Northeast Sector Community Park, Juno Trail Trailway) to be submitted on Apri127, 1995 and that Gerald S. Michaud, Parks and Recreation Director, is hereby authorized to apply to the Department of Natural Resources for funding of the three different projects on behalf of the City of Lakeville. Be it further resolved that the City of Lakeville has the legal authority to apply for financial assistance and the institutional, managerial, and financial capabilities to ensure adequate construction, operation, maintenance, and replacement of the proposed project for its designed life. Be it further resolved that the City of Lakeville has not incurred any cost and has not entered into any written agreements to purchase property. Be it further resolved that the City of Lakeville has not violated any Federal, State or local laws pertaining to fraud, bribery, graft, kickbacks, collusion, conflict of interest or other unlawful or corrupt practices. Be it further resolved that upon approval of any of the three applications by the • State, the City of Lakeville may enter into an agreement with the State of Minnesota for grants/pub-hrng the above referenced projects and that City of Lakeville certifies that it will comply with all applicable laws and regulations as stated in the contract agreement and described in the compliance section of the Outdoor Recreation Chant Program application. Now therefore be it resolved that the Mayor and/or City Clerk is hereby authorized to execute such agreements as are necessary to implement the project on behalf of the applicant.
