HomeMy WebLinkAbout94-127 i CITY OF LAKEVILLE RESOLUTION DATE June 20, 1994 RESOLUTION NO. 94-127 MOTION BY xarvey SECONDED BY Mulvihill RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING RENTAL POLICIES AND FEES FOR USE OF LAKEVILLE SENIOR CENTER WHEREAS the City of Lakeville has a need to establish a rental policy and fee schedule for the use of the Lakeville Senior Center, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Ciry Council of the City of Lakeville that the following policy of the City as set forth below shall be adopted: • Ci of Lakeville's Senior Cen r ty to is reserved primarily for activities planned by the, Senior Coordinator. The facility is available for use only when it is not being utilized by the Lakeville Seniors or when it will not conflict with Lakeville Senior Citizen activities. The Senior Center is not recommended for group rental for activities and meetin s primarily consisting of youth. Regular facility hours" are designated as 9~ AM to 4:00 PM, Monday througgh Friday, excluding municipal holidays : Non-regular facility hours shall be considered after hours The following guidelines describe the conditions of Senior Center facility usage: Group Guidelines: Fees Group A: Cit of Lakeville sponsored activities and meetings. ~amples: Advisory Committee Meetings, Lakeville Park & Rec. Santa Store No Charge Groups consisting exclusively of seniors meeting during regular facility hours. Example: Eureka Sunshine Club No Charge Lakeville Senior Center member's birthday or anniversary parties during regular facility hours. No Charge Fare Share commodity distribution. No Charge • Group Guidelines: Fees: Group B: Non-profit organizations. Examples: Sons of Norway, Lakeville Garden Club, Churches $10.00/hr. Lakeville Senior Center member's birthday or anniversary parties after hours. $10.00/hr. Maximum Group Size: 100 The Parks and Recreation Director reserves the right to reject requests for facility use when such use is considered not to be in the best interest of local government. Application and Fee Guidelines: 1. Applications for usage must be submitted to Lakeville Parks and Recreation Department a minimum of .two weeks rior to the re uested event date. Groups required to pay rental fees (~roups .B & C~ must. submit the applicable. fee and $1OO.W securit de osit a minimum of two weeks prior to the requested event date. T~e 100.00 security deposit will be retained until after the scheduled event. The security deposit • is then subject to be returned based on the condition of the facility following the event. If the event is cancelled a minimum of 3 business days before the scheduled event, the rental fee and security deposit less a $10.00 cancellation fee will be returned to the event s onsor. For cancellations made 1-2 business dayys prior to the scheduledp event, 50% of rental fee and full security deposit will be returned to the event sponsor.
