RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PREPARATION OF
A FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR THE
RECONSTRUCTION OF THE DOWNTOWN STORM SEWER,
SANITARY SEWER, WATERMAIN, AND STREET IMPROVEMENTS
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 94-1
WHEREAS, the downtown storm drainage system is in an aged and deteriorated
condition, and is inadequate in capacity, resulting in past flooding.
WHEREAS, the City of Lakeville desires to reconstruct its downtown storm
drainage system; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 92-3 dated January 6, 1992 authorized the preparation
of a feasibility report for the downtown storm sewer system; and
• WHEREAS, the downtown sanitary sewer and watermain is in aged and deteriorated
condition needing repair and/or replacement; and
WHEREAS, the downtown street system is generally in an aged and deteriorated
condition needing repair and/or replacement; and
WHEREAS, Orr-Schelen-Mayeron & Associates, Inc. has submitted a proposal to
prepare a feasibility report to address storm sewer, sanitary sewer, watermain, and
street improvements at a cost not to exceed $33,085.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Lakeville City Council that Resolution No.
92-3 is rescinded, Orr-Schelen-Mayeron & Associates, Inc. is hereby authorized to
prepare an engineering feasibility report for the above-referenced project at a cost
not to exceed $33,085.00.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Lakeville this 18th day
of January, 1994.
