RESOLUTION REQUESTING DAKOTA COUNTY TO SELECT
ORR-SCHELEN-MAYERON & ASSOCIATES, INC.
AS CONSULTING ENGINEERS FOR
RECONSTRUCTION OF CSAH 50 FROM
ICENIC WAY TO ONE-QUARTER MILE WEST OF HAMBURG AVENUE
DAKOTA COUNTY PROJECT 50-02
CITY OF LAKEVILLE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 94-13
WHEREAS, Dakota County desires to reconstruct County State Aid Highway 50
e between Icenic Way and one-quarter mile west of Hamburg Avenue, Dakota County Project 50-
02, City of Lakeville Improvement Project 94-13; and
WHEREAS, Dakota County desires to engage consultant services to provide final design
of CSAH 50; and
WHEREAS, in order to provide an outlet for the CSAH 50 storm sewer, the project will
also involve construction of storm sewer under several City of Lakeville streets; and
WHEREAS, the reconstruction of CSAH 50 will also involve replacement or relocation
- of existing City sanitary sewer and watermain; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lakeville desires to reconstruct the downtown storm sewer
system, including replacement of streets, sanitary sewer, and watermain infrastructure; and
WHEREAS, on January 18, 1994, the City authorized Orr-Schelen-Mayeron &
Associates, Inc. to prepare a feasibility report for the proposed reconstruction of the downtown
storm sewer system, including replacement of streets, sanitary sewer, and watermain
infrastructure; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lakeville needs close coordination between the CSAH 50
. reconstruction project and the downtown storm sewer system improvement project.
' . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that in order to provide the required
coordination between the CSAH SO reconstruction project and the proposed downtown storm
sewer system improvement project, the City of Lakeville is requesting Dakota County to utilize
the services of Orr-Schelen-Mayeron & Associates, Inc. for design of the reconstruction of
County State Aid Highway SO between Icenic Way and one-quarter mile west of Hamburg
Avenue.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all engineering costs not eligible for State Aid
Turnback Funding be shared in accordance with Dakota County cost sharing policy for work on
CSAH SO and 100% of all non-eligible engineering by the City of Lakeville for all construction
not on CSAH SO (city streets).
