HomeMy WebLinkAbout90-044 • CITY OF LAHEVILLB RESOLUTION Date April 16, 1990 Resolution No. 90-44 Mot ion by Harvey Seconded by Mulvihill RESOLUTION DESIGNATING BXBMPT AND NON-BXBMPT EMPLOYBBS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THB FAIR LABOR STANDARDS ACT (FLSA). WHBREAS, the City is required to comply with the United States Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA); and WHBREAS, the City Council at it's February 5 meeting authorized Fredrikson & Byron to prepare a report to determine which City positions are considered exempt or non-exempt in accordance with the FLSA; and WHBRBAS, Fredrikson & Byron has submitted a report entitled "Analysis ~f Full-Time Positions with the City of Lakeville". NOW, THBRBFORB, BB IT RESOLVED by the City Council of .the City of Lakeville, Minnesota: A. The following persons are hereby designated as exempt in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act as follows: 1. City Administrator 2. Finance Director 3. Police Chief 4. Park and Recreation Director 5. Community Development Director 6. Gity fingineer 7. Liquor Manager 8. Utilities Superintendent 9. Streets Superintendent 10. Park Superintendent 11. Chief Building Inspector 12. Sr. Project Coordinator/Contract Specialist 13. Asst. 8ngineer 14. Fire Marshal • 15. Recreation Supervisor 16. Accountant 17. Asst. Community Development Director 18. Asst. Liquor Manager 19. Research Analyst • ,r B. Effective April 16, 1990, positions classified as exempt will not be eligible for overtime compensation. C. Any positions not named above are hereby considered non-exempt and subject to the provisions of the FLSA.
