RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING THE WEEK OF
APRIL 22-28, 1990, AS
VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION WEEK
BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City of Lakeville, in its support of
volunteerism, designates the week of April 22-28, 1990, as
Volunteer Recognition Week in Lakeville.
WHEREAS volunteers have enriched the life of our community
through their concern, commitment, and generosity of spirit; and
WHEREAS volunteerism embodies a spirit of giving and spirit of
growth; and
WHEREAS volunteers are a vital resource and have contributed to
the health, education, welfare, recreation, culture and environment
of Lakeville;
• THEREFORE, because we believe the selfless giving of volunteers
has made our world a better place in which to live, we wish to
thank our local volunteers for their selfless efforts and
dedication.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Lakeville at the regular meeting held April 16, 1990.
