A RESOLUTION FS'T'ART T$j~jG RuLFS AND REI4TAL FEES FOR
USE OF CITY PARKS AND PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the City has a need to establish a rules and rental fees
schedule for use of city parks,
IJOW THEt2EFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Lakeville -that the following policy of the city as set forth below shall be
adopted:

A. The fee for Lakeville Broomball League team tournament
shall be $45.00, or as determined by League Director.
B. The fee for a non-Lakeville Broomball team tournament shall
be $50.00, or as determined by League Director.
C. The above fee will permit the tournament sponsor to use
• both rinks located at the McGuire Junior High School during
daylight hours only. An additional $5.00 per game will be
assessed for each game requiring the use of lights.
D. All tournaments will be governed by MRPA rules and
regulations. All tournaments will also adhere to Lakeville
rules arid. regulations governing park .department facilities.
E. The tournament sponsored by the Lakeville BrooYnball
Association shall be exempt from the above fees.
2. SOFTBALZ
A. The fee for a Lakeville Softball League team tournament
shall be $100.00.
B. The fee schedule for non-Lakeville League softball
tournaments shall be:
1 - 16 team tournament $250.00
17 - 24 team tournament 275.00
25 - 32 team tournament 300.00
33 - 40 team tournament ..325.00
41 - 48 team tournament 350.00
C. All tournament sponsors will be .required to .submit a
' $100.00 damage deposit and the designated park rental•fee.

• D. The following annual softball tournaments will be exempt
froain the above fee:
1. The Lakeville Jaycee tournament
2. The Pan-O-Prog tournament
3. Park and Recreation Department sponsored tournaments.
E. Each tournament and sponsor shall abide by the attached
rules aril fees and a written agreement shall be executed
between the sponsor and the city, setting forth the fee. and
terms for the use of the park. The attached rules and
regulations are identified as "EXHIIBIT A".
3. PARK RENTALS
A. The fee to reserve space in certain parks for the purpose
of non-resident group picnics shall be $1.50 per person.. A
$15.00 administrative charge will be assessed in addition
to the .$1.50 per person. These fees include parking.
B. A $15.00 administrative charge will be assessed to all
resident groups wishing to reserve space within a park. A
written agreement between the city and the reserving group
will be required before reservation is confirmed.
• C. Public school groups from Lakeville districts are fee
exempt.
D. A damage deposit of $100.00 and the designated rental fee
will be required by all groups reserving space in the
parks. The deposit will be required two weeks. prior to the
scheduled event. The deposit will be returned upon
inspection. of the facility immediately after the event.
E. Confirmation of park rentals will be effective on a first
come, .first pay basis. Those groups completing. all
agreements and payment of fees will be given priority.
F. Groups wishing to reserve space in certain parks for non
.resident group picnics shall abide by the attached rules
and regulations and a written agreement .shall be executed
between the sponsor and the city setting forth the terms
for the use of the park. The attached rules and
regulations are identified as "EXHIBIT B".

• G. Groups wishing to rent equipment may do so at the following
° rates.:
1. volleyball. set $ 7.00
2. Horseshoes -per set 5.00
3. Bocce 7.00
4. Badminton set 6.00
5. Softball set 6.00
6. Croquet set 6.00
7. Complete picnic kit-includes#1, #2 #3 & #5 15..00
A deposit of $25.00 will be required for kits and a $15.00
deposit for all other pieces of equipment.

• 5. CAMPING
A camping fee for designated areas and parking lots is required
along with a special permit issued at the discretion of the
Park Director.
A. Ritter Farm Park:
Primitive camp sites by reservation only:
Weekend (Friday and Saturday nights) $ 5.00 per night.
Weekdays (Mon.,.. Tues., Wed. & Thurs.) 2.00 per night
B. Antlers Park:
(8:00. to 9:ao AM) lo.oo per night
C. Aronson Park:
(6:00 ~ to 9:ao AM) 10.0o per. night

various equipment and facilities may be rented out at the
discretion of the Parks and Recreation Director,. who will set
the appropriate fee.

All recreational program fees will be assessed accordi.rigly to
awer all oasts involved in the creation of and operation of
said programs. Revenues and non City fund raisers will be
established to offset any potential deficits incurred by
recreation division programs.

1. The Lakeville Park Maintenance Department will provide normal Friday field
maintenar~e. All field markings and additional maintenance will be the
responsibility of the sponsoring team.
2. The sponsoring team will be responsible for traffic and parking control.
Only vehicles used for maintenance will be allowed on turf areas. A11 other
vehicles will be restricted to parking areas.
3. The sponsoring team or organization will be responsible for trash pick up at
the end of Satun~ay's games.. Trash in to be placed in container provided by
the city's contracted trash collector. The sponsoring team or organization
will be .responsible for placement of all full trash barrels along the east
side of the shelter building both Saturday and Sunday. The sponsor will pay..
for Saturday's trash pick up.
4. All park facilities such as picnic tables, playground equipment, fire grates
and bleachers shall .remain in their present locations. The mcyving of any
facilities will require additional permission.

RITI~ES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE USE OF THE ARONSON PARK SHELTER
CLEAN UP Q~CK LIST:
1. Kitchen should be left completely cleaned:
* Floors washed
* Cupboards all cleaned
* Counters all washed
* Stove c~npletely cleaned inside and out
* Walls cleaned
* All trash cleaned up and removed
2. Bathroom areas
* Floors and walls should be cleaned
* Sinks and urinals cleaned
* Trash all removed
3. Check to see that all running water is shut off. All lights and. electrical
appliances should be turned off.
4. A].1 doors should be securely locked before leaving.
5. ArrangemP.nts for entering the building can be made with the Park Department.

RULES AND RD~iTIONS FOR USE OF CITY PARKS
1. All groups reserving parks will be required to sign an agreement. All
groups, excluding Lakeville civic organizations and business, will be
required to .pay set fees and a damage deposit two weeks prior t0 the
scheduled event.
2. Fees collected for scheduled events will be refunded in the case of a valid
reason for cancellation and at the discretion of the Park and Recreation
Director.
3. A damage deposit fee of $100.00 will be required along with the designated
rental fee of $1.50 per person two weeks prior to the scheduled .event.
Damage deposit will be refunded. after inspection of those facilities
rented.
4. Rental groups will use only those areas designated for group picnics.
Facilities such as the beach, horseshoe. pits, volleyball courts and
softball field will be available unless already being used by the general
public.
5. Rental of the main pavilion will be on a first cxsme, first serve basis.
Groups reserving the pavilion will have a minimum of 50 and a maximum of
400 per.~ons in their group. Pavilions Band C will be limited to a maximum
of 50 pezscros per group.
6. Rental groups will be responsible .for cleanup of trash and debris in the
area scheduled for their activity.
7. Facilities such as picnic tables, benches and other park facilities will
remain in their present locations. 'I~e moving of any facilities will
require additional permission.
8. The user group will be responsible for controlling all members of said

9. All motor vehicles will be parked in designated parking areas unless prior
arrangements have been made with the park departrnent.
10. Only groups consisting of 400 people or less will be considered for rental.

11. Intoxicating Liquors Prohibited; It shall be unlawful for any person to
consume .intoxicating liquors within City parks, exclusive of nonintoxi-
eating malt liquor (beer). HARD LIQUOR IS NOT ALLf.7WED.
12. NO GLASS containers of any type will be allowed on park property.
13. City of Lakeville park hours are 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
