RESOLUTION PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE NO. 6-1-1-1
REGULATING THE PARKING OF BOAT TRAILERS ON
RODIAR COURT, RODIAR AVENIIE, AND 175TH STREET
WEST BETWEEN RODIAR AVENUE AND JUDICIAL ROAD
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lakeville finds it
to be in the public interest for public safety and welfare to regulate
the parking of boat trailers on Kodiak Court, Kodiak Avenue, and 175th
Street West between Kodiak Avenue and Judicial Road, pursuant to
Ordinance No. 6-1-1-1.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Lakeville:
• Section 1. Definitions. The following words, terms and
phrases, when used in this section shall have the meanings ascribed to
them in this section:
Boat Trailer means any device used to transport any
watercraft when pulled behind any motor vehicle.
Watercraft means any contrivance used or designed for
navigation on water other than a seaplane.
Section 2. Restrictions. From April 15 through November 15
each year no person shall park a boat trailer on Kodiak Court, Kodiak
Avenue and 175th Street West between Kodiak Avenue and Judicial Road.
The Public Works Department shall mark by appropriate signs the
aforementioned streets.
Section 3. Prima Facie Violation. The presence of any boat
trailer parked on Kodiak Court, Kodiak Avenue and 175th Street West
between Kodiak Avenue and Judicial Road is prima facie evidence that
the registered owner of the boat trailer committed or authorized the
commission of the violation.
Section 4. Impoundment. Any police officer or park ranger
may remove or cause to be removed an empty boat trailer with or
without the motor vehicle it is attached to from the street to a
• garage or other place of safety when a vehicle is parked in violation
of this Resolution. Such trailer and/or vehicle shall not be released

until the fees for towing and storage are paid in addition to any fine
imposed for violation of this Resolution.
Section 5. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become
effective from and after its passage.
ADOPTED this 7th day of August , 1989, by the City
Council of the City of Lakeville.
