HomeMy WebLinkAbout87-021 i ~ ' , CITY OF LAKEVILLE RESOLUTION • DATE April 6, 1987 RESOLUTION N0. 87-21 MOTION BY Sindt SECONDED BY Enright A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING RULES AND RENTAL FEES FOR USE OF CITY PARKS AND PROPERTY WHEREAS, the City has a need to establish a rules and rental fees schedule for use of city parks, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakeville that the following policy of the city as set forth below shall be adopted: 1. BROONIBALL A. The fee far Lakeville Broomball League team tournament shall be $45.00, or as determined by League Director. B. The fee far a non-Lakeville Broomball team tournament shall be $50.00, or as determined by League Director. • C. The above fee will permit the tournament sponsor to use both rinks located at the McGuire Junior High School during daylight hours only. An additional $5,00 per game will be assessed for each game requiring the use of lights. D. All tournaments will be governed by MRPA rules and regulations. All tournaments will also adhere to Lakeville rules and regulations governing park department facilities. E. The tournament sponsored by the Lakeville Broomball Association shall be exempt from the above fees. 2. SOFTBALL A. The fee for a Lakeville Softball League team tournament shall be $100.00. B. The fee schedule for. non-Lakeville League softball tournaments shall be: 1 - 16 team tournament $225.00 17 - 24 team tournament 250.00 25 - 32 team tournament 275.00 33 - 40 team tournament 300.00 41 - 48 team tournament 325.00 + ~ C. All tournament sponsors will be required to submit a . $100.00 damage deposit and the designated park rental fee two weeks prior to the scheduled event. D. The following annual softball tournaments will be exempt from the above fee: 1. The Lakeville Jaycee tournament 2. The Pan-O-Prog tournament 3. Any state or district tournament sponsored ar cosponsored by the Park and Recreation Department. E. Each tournament and sponsor shall abide by the attached rules and fees and a written agreement shall be executed between the sponsor and the city, setting forth the fee and terms for the use of the park. The attached rules and regulations are identified as "EXHIBIT A". 3. PARK RENTALS A. The fee to reserve space in certain parks for the purpose of non-resident group picnics shall be $1.50 per person. A $15.00 administrative charge will be assessed in addition to the $1.50 per person. These fees include parking. B. A $15.00 administrative charge will be assessed to all resident groups wishing to reserve space within a park. A written agreement between the city and the reserving group will be required before reservation is confirmed. Residents using the park must have either a season or a daily parking pass. C. Public school groups from Lakeville districts are fee exempt. D. A damage deposit of $100.00 and the designated rental fee will be required by all groups reserving space in the parks. The deposit will be required two weeks prior to the scheduled event. The deposit will be returned upon inspection of the facility immediately after the event. E. Confirmation of park rentals will be effective on a first come, first pay basis. Those groups completing all agreements and payment of fees will be given priority. F. Groups wishing to reserve space in certain parks for non resident group picnics shall abide by the attached rules and regulations and a written agreement shall be executed between the sponsor and the city setting forth the terms for the use of the park. The attached rules and regulations are identified as "EXHIBIT B". • -2- G. Groups wishing to rent equipment may do so at the following rates: 1. Volleyball set $ 7.00 2. Horseshoes - per set 5.00 3. Bocce 7.00 4. Badminton set 6.00 5. Softball set 6.00 6. Croquet set 6.00 7. Complete picnic kit-includes #1, #2 #3 & #5 15.00 A deposit of $25..00 will be required for kits and a $15.00 deposit for all other pieces of equipment. 4. THE PARKING FEE FOR SPECIAL USE AREAS SHALL BE: A. Antlers Park: Resident seasonal $ 5.00 Non-resident seasonal 15.00 Daily resident 1.00 Daily non-resident 3.00 B. Ritter Farm Park: (Winter Season) Seasonal $15.00 . Daily - per car 3.00 Buses or team vans 20.00 5. CAMPING A camping fee for designated areas and parking lots is required along with a special permit issued at the discretion of the Park Director. A. Ritter Farm Park: Primitive camp sites by reservation only: Weekend (Friday and Saturday nights) $ 5,00 per night Weekdays (Mon., Tues., Wed. & Thurs.) 2.00 per night B. Antlers Park: (8:00 PM to 9:00 AM) 10.00 per night C. Aronson Park: (6:00 PM to 9:00 AM) 10.00 per night 6. RENTAL OF MISCELLANEOUS PARK EQUIPMENT OR FACILITIES Various equipment and facilities may be rented out at the discretion of the Parks and Recreation Director, who will set • the appropriate fee. -3- 7. RECREATIONAL PR~RAM FEES: All recreational program fees will be assessed accordingly to cover all costs involved in the creation of and operation of said programs. Revenues and non City fund raisers will be established to offset any potential deficits incurred by recreation division programs.
